This Day In Music - February 22nd

 

Born February 22nd, 1974, in Tidworth, Wiltshire, England, James Blunt, singer-songwriter and former army officer! James skyrocketed to international fame in 2005 with the release of his debut album Back to Bedlam, which featured the hits "You're Beautiful" and "Goodbye My Lover". Blunt won two Brit Awards, MTV Video Music Awards, Ivor Novello Awards and was nominated in 2006 for five Grammy Awards. James has sold over 18 million albums and his debut, Back to Bedlam, is the best selling UK album of the 2000s. 

While serving as an officer in a cavalry regiment of the British Army in Kosovo, Blunt was introduced to Doctors Without Borders–a charity that he has supported by holding auctions at many of his concerts. Click here to check out music by James Blunt on iTunes!
