Want To Intern At Atlantic Records?

Atlantic Records is back on the hunt looking for interns for the Spring 2012 semester! We want bright, motivated, and creative college students who want hands-on experience producing online and mobile content for artists like T.I., Shinedown, Sean Paul, NeedtoBreathe, Wiz Khalifa, Trey Songz, Christina Perri, and many more. We're looking for people who love music and have a great feel for what's "next" in the online world. We are the first to work with new products and technologies as they relate to marketing and are consistently on the cutting edge of the music industry.

Digital Marketing Intern
Do you spend way too much time on Facebook, Twitter, Tumblr and YouTube? Are you constantly looking for new phone apps? This might be the place for you! We're looking for two self-proclaimed computer geeks who are always on top of the newest trends and technology to help us out in the Digital Media and E-commerce department. You'll work on anything from creating and managing profiles on social networking sites to compiling innovative content for our artist websites! Every day is different in our department, but as long as you're hungry for experience and can take initiative on projects you'll love it here!

Responsibilities:
-Maintain social networking sites for Atlantic artists
-Upload video s and content to artist sites
-Create banners for contests and promos
-Collect current news and information about Atlantic artists for mobile blasts
-Assist in tracking Atlantic artists’ online and mobile growth

E-Commerce Intern
E-Commerce interns will get to be part of an ongoing revolutionizing project we launched in 2011! Are you an organized, detailed-oriented, reliable person who also has an interest in music and what's current in the technology world? Then you will fit right in this department! We are looking for 2 interns who will help the E-Commerce team update and set-up webstores on Atlantic artists’ websites! You'll get to see how promoting artists' products online complements the online campaigns of the digital marketers. You'll work on things like editing merchandise images, preparing banners ads for merchandise, sending email blasts, updating websites, and more!

Required Skills: Photoshop (laying out graphics, image resizing, cropping, exporting), HTML/CSS familiarity, Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, etc.).

Web Design Intern
Are you more of a visual communicator? The Digital Media Department design team is also seeking web design interns for the Spring semester of 2012! The web design interns will be working directly under the Senior Web Designer and Creative Director. Projects will include web banners, widgets, pre-order pages, splash pages, e-cards, mini sites and etc for our recording artists. The internship is guaranteed to leave you off with some real world portfolio pieces that will exist on the web! Must be passionate, outgoing, and preferably have some web experience.

Required skills: Strong Photoshop and Illustrator skills. Basic HTML/CSS is a plus!

Quality Assurance Intern
Do you have an eye for detail? Do you want to develop project management skills? This position might be for you! The QA intern's daily tasks can include running tests on artists' websites & ecommerce pages, monitoring site upgrades and helping with version control, aiding to review all complete design and development requests prior to assets being uploaded for the web, helping to analyze web analytics reports, and assist in various D2C and web production projects. This intern description may seem tedious but this position is extremely integral to the success of our digital marketing and e-commerce campaigns!

Required skills:
Highly organized with the ability to multitask and prioritize workflow in a fast-paced environment, attention to detail, excellent verbal skills, creative-minded, self-starter, understanding of ecommerce, technology and graphics design, and online marketing. Computer skills: MS Office, Photoshop beginner to mid-level user, basic Html, e-mail and other marketing tools, social marketing tools; Flash, mid-level html, video editing, audio/video compression and other technology skills a plus!

It's important for any Digital Media & E-commerce intern to be self-starting, reliable, and ready to learn new things, and ready to produce in a fast-paced environment. All applicants must be able to commit to at least 15-20 hours a week. This is an excellent opportunity to learn about a part of the music industry that is constantly growing.

For all internships, you MUST be able to receive college credit and be able to get to our New York office. Also, please note, this is an unpaid internship.
