Atlantic recording group Death Cab for Cutie has announced details of their upcoming summer tour. The North American dates get underway with a pair of Canada Day Weekend shows with The Tragically Hip – slated for June 30th at The Commons in Niagara-on-the-Lake, Ontario and July 1st at Burl’s Creek in Barrie, Ontario – and then continue through late July (see attached itinerary).

Among the schedule’s many highlights is a July 17th headline date at Nashville’s legendary Ryman Auditorium, and a series of festival performances including Milwaukee’s Summerfest on July 5th, Des Moines, Iowa’s 80/35 Music Festival on July 7th, Chicago’s annual “The Taste of Chicago” on July 12th, Cincinnati’s Bunbury Music Festival on July 15th, and Dover, Delaware’s Firefly Music Festival on July 22nd.

"Primadonna" is a monster song, a muscular uptempo joint produced by Dr. Luke, Cirkut and Diplo (!!!) that sees Marina in full force as her alter ego, Electra Heart (the title character of her new album), a narcissistic drama queen who leads a life of debauched pleasure. "I'm a primadonna girl, yeah/ All I ever wanted was the world/ I can't help that I need it all/ The primadonna life, the rise and fall," Marina (or is it Electra?) coos over sparkly instrumentation, before grinding four-on-the-floor synths drop again, but the song is full of viciously clever lines.

Elektra recording artist Ed Sheeran has announced details of his upcoming North American tour. The eagerly awaited dates – which see the acclaimed British singer/songwriter traveling as special guest on Snow Patrol’s 2012 North American Tour – get underway March 29th at Orlando, Florida’s Hard Rock Live and then continue through mid-May.

In addition, Sheeran has slated a series of high profile showcase performances, including a pair of sold out shows at New York's famed Mercury Lounge on January 30th and 31st as well as a February 2nd date at Los Angeles’ Hotel Café.
